[Summer 2019 – Columbus, OH]

This summer we grew butternut squash for the very first time. We planted the seeds directly in the soil in mid-May. At first, plants grew well but, it was tough to maintain them with powdery mildew disease and squash bugs. We had to spray neem oil every evening to keep the plants healthy.
