Peas

[Summer 2019 – Columbus, OH]

Sugar Snap Peas

Sugar snap peas love cold weather. Too much sunlight can burn the plants. Therefore we grew them in the shady side of our bitter melon and cucumber trellis. We put water in the morning and in the afternoon to keep the soil moist. We can eat both the pod and the peas of this variety. This summer so far, we got a pretty reasonable harvest as we grew them in a shady place with the companion plants.

Green Arrow Peas

This variety loves sunlight. So green arrow peas grow well during the summer. They were planted in our luffa bed and watered regularly. We can not eat their pods, but the peas are super tasty and have a vibrant green color.
