They are super easy to grow indoor. When harvesting the green onions, we can leave the bulbs to regrow. So we can collect two or three more times before they stop producing. We can even use the store-bought green onions to regrow. Green onions need well-drained nutrient-rich soil. During the winter we grow them under grow lights in our house.
