[Summer 2017 & 2018 – Columbus, OH]
These are some other vegetables that we grew in 2017 & 2018. But we were not able to get a successful harvest from them.
Turnip
We grew purple top turnip variety. But they didn’t grow as we expected.

Cauliflower
Our cauliflower plants didn’t produce any heads. We grew them in a small plot, so they didn’t have enough space to grow well. Lack of nutrients and spacing can be a reason for the poor growth of our cauliflower plants.

Brussels Sprout
We got some tiny brussels sprouts at the end of the growing season. I think this might be due to a nutrient problem.

Zucchini
At first, our zucchini plants grew well, but due to powdery mildew, we lost all our plants.
Organic treatments to prevent powdery mildew.
- 1 tbsp baking soda, 1/2 tsp liquid hand soap, 1 gallon of water (do not spray during daylight hours)
- Neem oil
- milk:water – 2:3
- 4 tbsp vinegar, 1 gallon of water
- Garlic oil

Pumpkin
After some heavy rains, our pumpkin plants got root rotting problem and they died without producing fruits.
