Napa Cabbage

[Summer 2018 – Columbus, OH]

During this summer we tried to grow Napa cabbage for the first time. They love cold weather, much water, and nutrient-rich soil. With the hot temperatures in summer, our Napa cabbage plants didn’t grow well, and they flowered very quickly. Japanese beetles damaged some of our Napa cabbage leaves. Neem oil was used to control the other pests such as whiteflies and aphids. Ladybugs also helped us a lot to control pests.
